45 minutes to an hour session aimed at athletes wanting to improve from 70m to 1,500m or add a kick for longer events.

This is targeted at athletes aiming for PSSA, IPSHA, Little Athletics State and similar qualifying marks.  

Athletes must have been born before 1st February 2013 and are expected to have a willingness to train. Ages up to around 17 years can be catered for.

I’m Coach Dave, a local Athletics Australia accredited coach and running enthusiast.

Over the last several years I have been running the Sporting Schools Athletics program in many Sydney Primary schools teaching kids how to run, jump and enjoy exercise and fitness. I also coach Athletics and Football (soccer) at some of the local Independent High Schools. I have competed at the equivalent of State level in the past and raced everything from 800m to Ultra marathon.  

Sessions will consist of:

  1. Warm up
  2. Main session
    1. Technical elements of running
    2. Speedwork / Speed endurance
  3. Cool down

1 week for $45

Time and place

Session 1: This session caters to shorter distances, generally up to 200m Location: Either Headon or Oakleigh Ovals in Thornleigh / Westleigh
Day and Time: Sunday 3:00pm to 4:00pm

Session 2: This session caters more to middle distance runner from 400m to 10km. Location: Either Headon or Oakleigh Ovals in Thornleigh / Westleigh
Day and Time: Sunday 4:00pm to 5:00pm
